Countries in Asia are Pushing Deadly Asbestos as a Product for the Poor

Despite the overwhelming scientific evidence and universal agreement among governmental organizations, scientists and medical experts that all types of asbestos cause deadly diseases, including mesothelioma, asbestos is still being widely used in Asia.

While dozens of countries including Japan, South Korea, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and all European Union nations have banned asbestos entirely and others, including the United States, have severely curtailed the use of asbestos, countries in Asia, including India where asbestos stands as a two billion dollar industry with double-digit growth, are still using asbestos. Asbestos is being used in these countries in poverty stricken areas where most doctors would even not be able to test for, let alone treat the various lung diseases caused by asbestos exposure.
