Fire Station in South Utica May Expose Firefighters to Asbestos

A fire station in south Utica, New York, has asbestos issues along with damage from flooding, electrical, and plumbing problems.

Utica Common Council member David Testa organized a tour of the fire station as chairman of the council's Public Safety Committee. He concluded that the firefighters' working conditions are not good after his tour. This disheartening news is another example of first responders not getting the care and attention they deserve.
