Jon Stewart's Return to the Daily Show Raises Awareness for 9/11 Responders

In a monumental moment, Jon Stewart returned to the Daily Show earlier this week to show his support for the Zadroga Act, which provides compensation and medical funds to 9/11 first responders.

Though technically the bill has expired, Stewart and other activists hope to get the bill renewed before Congress goes out of session in order to secure funds for the responders. Many of the 9/11 first responders were exposed to hazardous substances like asbestos in their quick-acting attempts to save lives in the attacks. Now, the government has been slow-acting (to say the least) and ineffective at ensuring that proper funds are provided to those selfless individuals who are now sick.

It's obvious that this is a good cause--to find out more, click here.
